Onmyoji Wiki

Skills are the various abilities of characters in the game.

They are called "demonic arts" when referring to special skills of shikigami, and the skills of onmyouji are called "onmyoudo."

Types

Under auto mode, two types of skills can be toggled: normal attacks and special skills. Normal attacks are skill 1 and consume no onibi. Special skills tend to be skill 3, but can be skill 2 as well, and have effects other than simply dealing damage.

Certain skills have a chance to automatically activate without consuming any onibi nor needing any controls once their requirements are met, these skills are called passives, which tend to be skill 2.

Properties

Skills have unique names, icons, and voiced lines from their correlating characters.

Skill effects can be either shikigami-specific or use a common mechanism. Specific skill mechanisms are denoted in red text, while common effects appear in blue text.

When using a normal attack to attack an enemy, will call for an ally to use a normal attack to attack the same target
Direct damage

直接伤害 / 直接ダメージ

One of the types of damage, all damage is direct damage unless specified otherwise, is affected by soul effects, can be distributed by skills such as Shouzu's link,
Indirect damage

间接伤害 / 間接ダメージ

One of the types of damage, will not trigger soul effects, cannot be distributed by skills such as Shouzu's link, is guaranteed to crit against enemies with 0 defense
True Damage

真実伤害 / 真実のダメージ

One of the types of damage, cannot crit, and ignores defense

Reflected damage is considered as true damage

Transferred damage

转导伤害 / 伝導ダメージ

One of the types of damage, cannot crit, is due to some shikigami skills being able to distribute damage, such as Shouzu's link and Ushi no Toki's doll
Crit Resist

会心抵抗

Source of damage has its crit reduced
Restore (HP)

治疗 / 回復

Can crit, affected by reduced healing effects and and triggers effects related to healing
Recover (HP)

恢復

Different from healing or restoring, cannot crit, unaffected by reduced healing effects and does not trigger effects related to healing
HP Steal

吸血

Different from healing or restoring, cannot crit, unaffected by reduced healing effects and does not trigger effects related to healing
Lose (HP)

失効

Not like receiving damage, lost HP will not crit, is not absorbed by shields and does not trigger damage related effects
Sustain

维持 / 持続

A status or mark will last depending on the number of turns of the originator, and not target
Base Chance

基础概率 / 基礎確率

This chance can be affected by effect hit

Control Effect

控制效果 / 制御効果

Freeze, Sleep, Confuse, Taunt, Silence, Seal, Suppress, Bind, Transform, Daze, Provoke, Deep Freeze, Frostbound are considered to be control effects. The final 5 cannot be dispelled and final 1 cannot be removed.

Banish and similar effects are not listed as a control effects but are treated as one

Immobile / Unable to Take Actions

行動不能

Unable to take a turn due to being inflicted by Banish and similar effects or with control effects such as Freeze, Deep Freeze, Sleep, Daze or Transform.
Dispel

駆除

Will get rid of debuffs and control effects excluding Deep Freeze, Transform, Daze and Provoke

Will get rid of "Debuff, State" effects

Remove

解除

Will get rid of debuffs and non-dispellable control effects such as Deep Freeze, Transform, Daze and Provoke

Will get rid of "Debuff, State" and "Debuff, Mark" effects

Monsters

妖怪 / 怪物

Non-player owned shikigami, such as all enemies in PVE content (Souls, Explore, etc)
Summoned Entity

召喚物

A non-player controlled entity that usually inherits some of the stats from its summoner, such as Kingyo Hime's Goldfish, summoned entities do not persist between multi-round battles
Special Summoned Entity

特殊召喚物

A non-player controlled entity that usually inherits some of the stats from its summoner and is immune to damage, such as SP Kiyohime's Snake Spirit and SP Hana' Painted Scene

Common Effects

Buff effects are usually denoted by blue icons and debuff effects by red icons, while indirect damage effects have purple icons (excluding Ghostly Songstress's seduced debuff). There are also special buff/debuffs that are denoted by yellow icons. Special buff/debuffs are usually considered to be unique effects that are unremovable or "permanent" until the certain conditions are no longer met, eg; start a new round in a multi-round battle.

Numbers at the top-left of an icon represent how many stacks of the same effect there are. Icons for effects such as Poison will not stack. Numbers at the top-right of an icon represent how many layers an effect has. While numbers at the bottom represent how many turns the effect will last or be sustained for. Effects that only last or are sustained for 1 turn may not have a number at the bottom. In unique circumstances, such as Yuki Onna's secret zone, numbers at the bottom represent how many turns until the effect will take place.

Although the latter 2 effects are not classified as control effects, they are treated as ones by effects such as shelter and skills that grant immunity to control effects eg; SP Shuten Douji's passive.

Upgrading

Skills may or may not have several levels, where levelling up the skill makes it stronger.

For onmyouji, skills can be levelled by unlocking achievements and from levelling goryou/totem.

For shikigami, skills can be levelled by consuming black daruma or another copy of the shikigami during either levelling or upgrading.

For shikigami with changeable skills or additional skills, such as Takiyasha Hime and Kidoumaru, those skills are levelled by upgrading the main skill. Some may even share the same upgrades. So a skill with 2 changeable special attacks and 4 levels on each will only need a total of 4 upgrades, not 8.
